How to Fit Physical Activity into Each Day
I know there are many people who already know how to fit physical activity into each day. They love being active, whether it be in sports, going to the gym on a regular basis, or just taking a regular morning walk. Unfortunately, most people who are overweight do not fall into that category. If they did, they would probably not need to lose weight…they already worked it off!
But knowing how to fit physical activity into each day easily, without feeling stressed out before you even start, will help in your weight loss efforts, and you will feel better about yourself too.
The great news is that you don't need to do nothing because you can't stand the thought of a strenuous exercise program. You only need about 2 1/2 hours of moderate activity PER WEEK! Now that doesn't sound so difficult, does it? Just 10 minute spurts throughout your day of activity strenuous enough to get your heart rate going faster will do the trick.
You know about all these ideas already, but here is just a little reminder. Try a few of these quick and easy physical activities each day, which you can fit into your schedule either at home or at work, and you'll start to see an improvement in your weight loss and in your general well-being.
- Do your housework with some zippy music playing so you move at a faster pace
- Pull weeds, mow the lawn, or clean the pool
- Take a brisk walk or a run in the park with your dog
- Look for the parking space that is farthest from the door of the supermarket and actually walk all the way to the door and back
- Use the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible
- Take a walk on your break at work instead of eating a snack
- Invite co-workers to join in a group lunchtime walk, even if it's just up and down the stairs of your building
- Play with your kids – something that involves running and jumping outside
- Take a bicycle ride
There are many more ideas…the main thing is just to get your body moving. Have fun!

Healthy Eating Is The Best Way To Lose Weight
The word “diet” has taken on a negative meaning, but think about it – don’t we all maintain a diet every day? The common dictionary definition of diet is “food and drink regularly provided and consumed”. Since no one wants to, nor should, give up this understandably popular habit, we need to give up the negative viewpoint instead.
